The Genesis and the Master System are on the very short list of mainstream game consoles that I've never owned.  There wasn't anything in particular that turned me off about them and I don't harbor a grudge because I never spent much time with the games that were exclusive to those systems.  However, I don't have the rose-tinted nostalgia for these games that some people do, either.
