Hello again! I’m back with another Trees’ Collectible and I have to say this one’s for you Rob! I’ve heard you mention a few times now how the one collectible you wish you had picked up was Bioshock’s Big Daddy collectible so…..here you go!

So I acquired this little guy when I purchased the over-hyped and hugely underwhelming disappointment that was the Bioshock Limited Edition. Remember what was promised in that thing? Let me refresh your memory:

Looks kick-ass doesn’t it?! So you can pretty much imagine my reaction when I got home and opened my Limited Edition box to find a regular 360 jewel case with the game and a music CD with 3 shitty “remixed by Moby” songs on it. Oh, and that Big Daddy figure was duct-taped to the back or something. Either way I was mad. Besides the bait and switch scam though, the Big Daddy figure itself is a very cool collectible.

The Big Daddy figure (man-doll) is a pretty solid and well made. Not sure what he’s made out of, feels like metal or concrete or something. You could definitely kill a small animal with it. It’s about 5 inches tall and weighs in just a little over a pound. Overall one of my newer favorite collectibles!

So that’s it for me. It was fun to write another one of these up. Maybe since I’ve gone through some of my older stuff it’s time to start buying some brand new collectibles. Wonder how much a Final Fantasy Wonder Swan Crystal would cost me on eBay? Hmmm…I need to look in to that. Latah!
