Hey guys! After what seems like months, i'm connected once again to the world! Moving sucks especially when it's to the middle of nowhere.

When I had it in my possession I always turned on Goldeneye for the N64. But nowadays there aren't that many games that I could say I'd go back to if it'a not multiplayer. The Force Unleashed is a fun enough game that I played it twice through one after the other and was sad to send it back. I picked it up recently so I'm sure i'll be getting into that again when I have nothing else... Whenever the hell that's gonna be. With so many games I haven't played and so many coming out, I don't think I'll be bored with nothing to play any time soon.

The games I have replayed innumerable times are Halo 2 and Doom 3.
I dig both of these games for their tight linearity, straightforward objectives, and run-and-gun play.
I usually play Halo 2 on Heroic, but I sometimes drop it down to Normal when I'm feeling destructive and looking for an easy fight. I think this is my favourite of the series because I loves me that Battle Rifle.
Doom 3 has a fantastic dark and spooky atmosphere with excellent sound, graphics, and wonderful weapons. When the bloodlust sets in, I put it on Godmode, and chainsaw and shotgun my way through the demons. I think Dead Space owes a debt of gratitude to this game (because much of it is similar).

Super Punchout. I used to be able to get by the first 7 or 8 fights without looking at the screen, just from the audio. This game is timeless fun, and I've always played it at least a couple times a year.

I have 2 games that I keep going back to. Maybe not even once a year but I always find myself playing them again eventually.
The first game is Halo Combat Evolved.(I bet nobody saw that comming:))

I still think the campaign in that game is one of the best ever for a console FPS, crank the difficulty up to Legendary and let the Fun begin.

The second is the original Knights of the Old Republic. This is still hands down my favorite RPG ever. Nothing beats saving an alien from a group of street thugs and then robing him yourself, free XP and free money it dont get better than that.

1) The original Quake. I love getting the monsters to fight each other. Sometimes I'll use the cheat codes so I can take out my frustrations by turning enemies into piles of meat.

2) Half Life 2. There is something about the world Valve created that clicks for me.

I have played both games countless times and I still have them installed and running on my Vista PC.

I never really planned it. It just sort of happened. Of the entire cornucopia of games that I own, the one that I have gone back the most to play is the original Final Fantasy Tactics for Playstation. There are about a bazillion character combinations in that game, and it was before they introduced those stupid dog guys or the bunny girls from FF12 and the Advanced tactics games.

I also find myself replaying Buck Rogers: Countdown to Doomsday for the Genesis more often than I would care to admit.

I'm going to have to go with Broken Sword: The Shadow of the Templars and Broken Sword II: The Smoking Mirror. Always find myself going back to point and click adventures. Played both of them countless times now and they still make me giggle like a school girl.

*Emerges from his cave and hisses at the sun*

Since I really haven't had time to play console lately except for Rock Band 2, here are games that I usually end up reinstalling and playing on my PC whenever I reinstall Windows or get a new computer:

Alpha Centauri
Planescape:Torment
Civilization 4

Although the graphics are starting to date, these are true classics. I bet they would run outstandingly well on a netbook.
---
Ocassionally I will reinstall Pharoah (city building simulation) or Tropico 2: Pirates Cove (pirate city building simulation). I also like playing the opensourced Star Control II game "The Ur-Quan Masters". Classic!

Long time no speak, I know, and I'm sorry, but I'm back and really dug this question. For me, it's two games, one that can be satisfied in 30 mins, and one semi-full length game. The big dog is Night Trap for the Sega CD. I don't think I've ever gone more than 3 months without returning to the console in my bedroom and cranking out an hour or two to see if I can still get to the end by memory. The other is Resident Evil (the original, not a remake or sequel), which I usually beat once every six months or so. I've been working on speed runs, and currently can get through the Chris (harder) playthrough in about two hours.
