(presses “Start” button) BONG!!! “RESIDENT EEEVIL FOOOOOUUUUR…..”
See what I did there? Mimicked the start of a Resident Evil 4 game? When you first press the start button? No? Huh? Ok, screw it! Here’s collectible number six! It’s my RE4 blood splattered chainsaw controller for my Gamecube (or as I like to call my GC: my Wii without motion controls. ZING!).
I love this controller and it just might be the most menacing looking thing ever released for the GameCube. Even the heavy duty display case it comes in is bad-ass! The controls are in an awkward position at first but when you learn that it’s meant to be held at an angle the thumb stick and buttons line up accordingly. It is also one of the only collectibles that got a lot of use because like the big closet nerd that I am I did play through RE4 with this controller.
Not sure how collectible you would call these since I don’t think they are hard to find but in any case it’s a cool controller. There is also an awesome red chainsaw controller that Capcom released later for the PS2.
So that’s this weeks piece of crap. I would tease next weeks collectible but I’m not going to since 1: last time I put hints up here no one even acknowledged them and 2: not really sure what I have for ya next week. So till next time….Latah!

Trees! Don’t post this stuff man! If my wife reads this, she’s going to find out my chainsaw controller isn’t for trimming our trees in the front yard! That was the only way I could convince her to let me buy one these!
Anyways, great posts my friend. I’ve held on to most of my gaming collectibles too and I don’t think I could ever part with them. Even if they enduce migraines like my old virtual boy. Sometimes pain is good.

The funny thing is, you don’t ever use a chainsaw in RE4. Only the zombies do. Hmm…
